Euro Truck Simulator 2

Easy SCS Mod Manager

Overview

A mod manager for the SCS truck games: see every mod you have as a card, sort your load order by dragging, and keep separate profiles for separate setups.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator load mods from a folder and order them in a list inside the game's profile screen, which is workable with five mods and painful with fifty. Easy SCS Mod Manager puts that in front of you properly: every installed mod as a card with its name, version and where it came from, drag-and-drop ordering, and search.

WHAT IT HANDLES

Mods you dropped in the mod folder by hand and mods you subscribed to on the Steam Workshop, in one list — the manager labels which is which. Load order presets you can switch between, which is the practical way to keep a map-heavy setup and a clean one on the same install. Enabling and disabling without moving files around.

It supports both games and reads their real profile data rather than keeping its own idea of what is installed, so what you see is what the game will load.

A note on what this is not: it is a manager, not a mod. It changes nothing in the game itself.

ABOUT THIS LISTING

This page describes Easy SCS Mod Manager by Switch-Bros. The description and screenshots are the author's own, imported from their listing on GitHub on 14 August 2026: https://github.com/Switch-Bros/easy-scsmodmanager

Mythiq hosts no files for it. The download button goes straight to the release file on github.com, so you are downloading from the author's own host, not from a copy of ours.

The download count, rating and comments on this page start at zero and count Mythiq only. The source's own figures are not copied here — they measure a different site, and a number that cannot be checked against our own ledger is not worth printing.

Requirements

THE GAMES

Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator, installed and run at least once so a profile exists.

CLOSE THE GAME FIRST

Reordering mods while the game is running does nothing — the load order is read at profile load.

BUILDS

The Windows build is what this page links to. The project also publishes Linux packages (AppImage, deb, rpm, tarball) on the same release.

Installation

1. Download the .exe with the button on this page and run it.

2. Point it at your game — it looks for the Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 profile directory itself in most cases.

3. Pick a profile, and your installed mods appear as cards.

4. Drag to reorder. The order at the top of the list is what loads last and therefore wins.

This release downloads from github.com, not from us, so there is no checksum to compare against. Scan the archive before you unpack it.

    Added
    - Source badge on each mod card. Every card now carries a small icon in the
top-right corner: a folder icon (📂) for mods you installed manually, a cloud
icon (☁️) for Steam Workshop mods. Hover it for a short tooltip that spells
out the source. Requested by gl00ria (#21).
    - "Open Workshop page" in the right-click menu. Right-clicking a Workshop
mod now offers "Open Workshop page", which opens the mod's Steam Workshop
page in your browser so you can read the description, check for updates, or
unsubscribe - without leaving the app. Local mods do not get this entry.
    Requested by gl00ria (#21).
    - Window state remembered across restarts. The app now saves the window
size, position and splitter split when you close it and restores them next
time. The full filter state - search text, source filter, sort key and
direction, category and the favorites toggle - is also preserved, so the app
opens exactly as you left it. Requested by LLBBC (#70).
    - Filename in mod details. The "i" button now shows the mod's file name
(e.g. cool_trucks_v2.scs) in the details dialog, so you can identify the
file without opening the folder. Requested by 00player00 (#69).

    Fixed
    - Name sort uses the visible card label. Sorting by Name now matches the
text shown on the card (Workshop title or profile display name) instead of
the raw filename. A mod titled "Jazzycat's Truck Pack" no longer sorts under
the filename jc_tp.scs. Also faster: the display-name lookup no longer
rebuilds an internal map on every comparison. Reported by LLBBC (#70).
    - Auto-update no longer hangs on Chinese Windows. The helper batch script
used a pipe to check whether the app had exited; chcp 65001 (UTF-8 mode)
combined with cmd.exe's pipe deadlocks on CJK systems, leaving a black
"find" window open indefinitely. The script now writes the process list to a
temp file and reads from it - no pipe, no deadlock. Reported by 00player00
    and LLBBC (#71).
    - Importing a mod list no longer fails with "ZIP does not support timestamps
before 1980". Some Windows systems leave file modification times at the
Unix epoch (1970-01-01), which is before the ZIP format minimum. The backup
that the import flow creates before applying now clamps those dates to 1980
instead of raising an error. Reported by benceje (#2).
