Floo Companions

Restores the companions feature using leftover game files found in the CreatorsKit, as well as expanding upon the original featureset and enabling a wide range of characters to be set as the players companion.

Features:

- Summon companions from Floo Flames

- Floo Travel animations when using Floo Flames for Fast Travel

- Companions fly brooms

- Companions are using their correct wands used in cutscenes rather than their generic gameplay wands.

Hogwarts Legacy on a current patch. Most mods here are .pak files — self-contained packages the engine loads from the ~mods folder — and a major game update is the usual reason an older .pak stops working until the author rebuilds it.

A few mods additionally require a loader or an ASI framework; the author's page names it when so. Nothing on this page needs more than the base game unless it says otherwise.

1. Download the archive with the button on this page and unzip it.

2. Create this folder if it does not exist, and put the .pak in it:

Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods

The ~mods folder is the game's own override location — the tilde is not a typo and is what makes the engine load it last.

3. Start the game. Changes appear where the author describes: gear, appearances, gameplay values or the character editor.

UPDATING

Replace the old .pak with the new one — same name, same folder. Delete it entirely to uninstall; nothing is written anywhere else.
