Pal IVs

What are IVs?
IVs are a Pals Individual Value.  Think of it like the Pal's natural talent so to speak, some Pals are inherently better than others.  The higher the IV the higher that stat will scale as the pal levels up.

The highest IV value a Pal can have for a given stat is 100 and the lowest is 0.  At an IV of 100 the Pal gets a +30% bonus to that stat.

Manual Installation

1.  Install UE4SS using the instructions below if you don't already have it

2.  Navigate to your PalWorld game directory

Steam: Right click on game in Steam -> Manage -> Browse Local Files

Xbox App: Select Palworld, click the three dot button ( ... ) and click Manage from the dropdown.  Then select the FILES tab and hit BROWSE...

3.  Navigate to the LogicMods folder in your PalWorld game directory:

...\Pal\Content\Paks\LogicMods\

4.  Download and extract the latest version of the mod

5.  Move the .pak file from the extracted mod folder to the LogicMods folder from above (...\Pal\Content\Paks\LogicMods\).  Be sure to only

copy the .pak and not the entire folder.

6.  You're done!  If you have issues please check the troubleshooting section below to see if there is a solution before reporting.

UE4SS Installation Instructions

1.  Download the latest version of UE4SS (UE4SS_v3.0.0.zip) and unzip

2.  Navigate to your PalWorld game directory

Steam: Right click on game in Steam -> Manage -> Browse Local Files

Xbox App: Select Palworld, click the three dot button ( ... ) and click Manage from the dropdown.  Then select the FILES tab and hit BROWSE...

3.  Navigate to the Win64 folder in your PalWorld game directory:

...\Pal\Binaries\Win64\

4.  Move the contents of the unzipped UE4SS folder into the Win64 folder

5.  Run the game once and then close it once you get to the main menu (this is so UE4SS can generate the LogicMods folder we are going

to use)

6.  UE4SS is now installed

Troubleshooting
1. Open UE4SS-settings.ini:

...\Pal\Binaries\Win64\UE4SS-settings.ini

2. Set bUseUObjectArrayCache to false (bUseUObjectArrayCache = false)

GAME VERSION

Listed against Palworld 0.1.4.0. Palworld updates frequently, and a pak built for an earlier build is the first thing to suspect after a patch.

CLIENT VS SERVER

Some of these mods are server-side — they are installed on the machine running the dedicated server (or the host's copy in co-op), not on every player's game. A server mod installed client-side does nothing, and vice versa; the author's page says which it is.

1. Download the archive with the button on this page and unzip it.

2. For a client pak mod, create the folder if needed and put the .pak in it:

steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\~mods

The tilde in ~mods is deliberate — it makes the engine load the folder last so the mod wins.

3. For a server mod, unzip it into the dedicated server's Pal folder and restart the server; players do not install anything.

4. UE4SS-based mods additionally need UE4SS installed into the game folder first — the author's page linked from here carries the current steps.

UPDATING

Delete the old .pak before adding the new one. Two builds of one mod loaded together is the usual cause of crashes at launch after an update.
