The long-running map expansion that rebuilds and extends ETS2's Europe — new countries, reworked existing ones, thousands of kilometres of hand-built road.
ProMods Europe is the largest and longest-running map project for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It reworks the base game's Europe and extends it well past where the official map stops, with road networks that are drawn by hand against real geography rather than generated to fill space.
WHAT IT ADDS
Full or partial coverage of Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Baltics, Belarus, Ukraine and large parts of Scandinavia, alongside rebuilt versions of areas the base game covers thinly. Cities that exist in vanilla are frequently rebuilt from scratch to a much higher standard of detail, with correct junction layouts, real signage and local road furniture.
ProMods ships as a set of packages — assets, map, models, media and Convoy support — that are loaded together in a specific order. It is compatible with most traffic, weather and sound mods, and there are widely used connectors that join it to other large map projects such as RusMap and The Great Steppe.
The team publishes on a roughly quarterly cycle, with a hotfix following each new ETS2 game version so the map stays playable within days of an SCS patch.
ProMods publishes no public download total, so this page shows none — the zero is an absence of data, not a measurement.

ALL MAP DLC IS MANDATORY
ProMods will not load without every official map expansion installed. This is not a soft requirement — the map references DLC assets directly and a missing one produces a hard load failure, not a degraded map.
LOAD ORDER
The packages must sit above every other map mod, in the order given in the ProMods documentation: Assets, then Convoy Mode Support, then Map, then Media, then Models 1-3. Getting this wrong is the single most common cause of missing roads and floating objects.
SAVE GAMES
Adding ProMods to an existing profile is supported, but removing it later will break saves made while it was active. Start a fresh profile if you want a clean way back.
COMBINING WITH OTHER MAPS
RusMap, The Great Steppe and Middle-East Add-On all work alongside ProMods via the official connectors. Do not run two map mods that cover the same region without one.
Installation
1. Register a free account on promods.net — downloads are gated behind it.
2. Download every package for the version you want. The map is split across several files and all of them are needed.
3. Unpack them and move the .scs files into your mod folder:
4. Start the game, open your profile and click Mod Manager.
5. Enable every ProMods package and order them exactly as the included readme specifies. Everything else in your load order goes below them.
6. The first load after enabling a map mod takes noticeably longer while the game rebuilds its navigation data. Let it finish.
TO UNINSTALL
Back up your profile first. Removing a map mod from a save that used it will leave your truck somewhere that no longer exists, and the usual result is a profile that cannot be loaded.
