Lithostitched

Overview

Library mod with new configurability and compatibility enhancements for worldgen

Lithostitched

Lithostitched is an expansive library mod for Fabric and Neoforge with new configurability and compatibility enhancements for worldgen.

The library adds features all across the game's worldgen, with the aim of increasing inter-project compatibility and expanding configurability in general.
- Building biomes? There's tons of new feature types! Try out the expanded dungeon, ore, and well features or forge your own path with composite and template. Place your biome with biome injectors, a simple solution to modded biome layouts.
- Making or modifying structures? You add now add guaranteed elements, structure-specific music, spawn conditions such as flatness checks, and more! You can also use Lithostitched's worldgen modifier system to add templates and spawn conditions to vanilla structures!
- Dabble in terrain shaping? Lithostitched adds many new density function types (including Fast Noise!) and an injection system to apply terrain changes in a compatible manner.

All of these new capabilities are data-driven! Take a look at the Lithostitched Wiki for more information.

ABOUT THIS LISTING

This page describes Lithostitched by Apollo. The description and screenshots are the author's own, imported from their listing on Modrinth on 24 October 2026: https://modrinth.com/mod/lithostitched

Mythiq.net hosts no files for it. The download button goes straight to the release file on cdn.modrinth.com, so you are downloading from the author's own host, not from a copy of ours.

The download count, rating and comments on this page start at zero and count Mythiq.net only. The source's own figures are not copied here — they measure a different site, and a number that cannot be checked against our own ledger is not worth printing.

Requirements

Game version
  • 1.21.1
MOD LOADER

This release is built for Neoforge. A mod built for one loader will not load under another — Fabric mods do not run on Forge, and vice versa.

GAME VERSION

Built for Minecraft 1.21.1. Minecraft mods are tied to an exact version: a 1.21.4 build will refuse to load on 1.21.5.

THIS IS A LIBRARY

On its own it adds nothing you can see. It is here because other mods require it, and installing it is usually something another mod asked you to do.

DEPENDENCIES

Check the author's listing for required libraries before you start the game — a missing dependency shows up as a crash on launch, not as a warning.

Installation

1. Install Neoforge for the Minecraft version you play, if you have not already.

2. Download the .jar with the button on this page. Do not unzip it — a mod jar is installed as it is.

3. Put it in your mods folder:

Windows — %APPDATA%\.minecraft\mods

macOS — ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods

Linux — ~/.minecraft/mods

4. Launch the game with the Neoforge profile selected.

ON A SERVER

Anything that changes world generation or gameplay has to be installed on the server as well as on every client. Client-side visual and interface mods do not.

UPDATING

Replace the old .jar rather than adding the new one beside it. Two versions of the same mod in the folder is a crash on launch.

This release downloads from cdn.modrinth.com, not from us, so there is no checksum to compare against. Scan the archive before you unpack it.

Version history

    - Introduced a system for alternate targeting in worldgen modifiers.
    - Instead of a target being a "single_id", ["id","list"], or a "tag", there is an object format with a custom targeting type. The targeting types are:
    - lithostitched:any -> Matches all entries in the registry
    - lithostitched:regex -> Matches all entries in the registry whose ids match the given regex pattern
    - lithostitched:biome/climate -> Matches all biomes within given climate ranges
    - lithostitched:biome/has_feature -> Matches all biomes that have a given placed feature
    - Fixed various places where processor list injections didn't apply.
    - Any template pool element nested inside a list_pool_element (primarily impacts Pillager Outpost towers)
    - Planks, logs, and chains in mineshafts
    - Leaves, vines, and surrounding netherrack in ruined portals
    - Sand and suspicious sand in desert temples
    - Dried ghasts in nether fossils
    - Spawners in strongholds and nether fortresses
    - Cobblestone extensions in woodland mansions
    - Chests in various structures
    - Added two new block tags in tandem with the previous changes to allow smoother palette swapping of vanilla structures.
    - #lithostitched:supports_mineshaft_extension -> Blocks in this tag can have log and chain extensions built off of them.
    - #lithostitched:supports_ruined_portal_leaves -> Blocks in this tag can have leaves from overgrown ruined portals spawn on them.
    - Fixed a freeze that would infrequently occur from the lithostitched:matching_biomes processor condition.
