Details! is the standard combat analysis addon for World of Warcraft. It tracks everything that happens in a fight and presents it both live and as a report you can go through afterwards.
WHAT IT TRACKS
Damage and healing by player, by spell and by target. Deaths with a full log of what killed someone and what they did in the seconds before. Interrupts, dispels, crowd control, defensive cooldown usage, resource generation and spend. Threat. Per-phase and per-pull segmentation so you can compare attempt three with attempt eleven.
The display is heavily configurable — bar count, colours, which segment, which metric — and the deaths panel in particular is the thing most guilds actually use it for, because "why did that happen" is a more useful question than "who did the most damage".
By the same author as Plater Nameplates, and the two share a design sensibility about being configurable without being unusable out of the box.

PERFORMANCE
It processes every combat log event. On a heavily modded UI in a 20-player raid this is not free — reducing the number of visible windows and segments helps more than anything else.
CONFLICTS WITH
Other damage meters (Recount, Skada). Running two doubles the combat log processing for no benefit.
Installation
THROUGH THE CURSEFORGE APP (recommended)
Install and let it update through the patch cycle.
MANUAL
1. Download from CurseForge.
2. Extract into Interface\AddOns for your client flavour (_retail_, _classic_era_ and so on).
3. Restart the game.
4. Right-click the Details! window title to reach the options.
SETTING IT UP
Start from one of the bundled profiles rather than the default — they are laid out for specific roles and are a much better starting point than tuning from scratch.
