Adds several hundred functions to Papyrus that the game never exposed — the dependency a large share of modern Skyrim mods quietly require.
Papyrus, Skyrim's scripting language, can only do what the engine exposes to it, and the vanilla surface is narrow. This SKSE plugin widens it: several hundred new native functions covering actors, magic effects, forms, projectiles, weather, the UI, graphics, and a set of events the base game never fired.
You are almost certainly installing this because another mod asked for it. On its own it changes nothing you can see — it is a library, and its readers are mod authors. What it makes possible is the reason it matters: a great deal of what looks like new engine behaviour in recent Skyrim mods is a script calling something in here.
It is maintained in step with the author's other frameworks and rebuilt promptly after each game runtime change.

It is an SKSE plugin and does nothing without it.
MATCH THE GAME VERSION
Download the build for your Skyrim runtime. A mismatched SKSE plugin does not load, and the mod that needed it fails in whatever way it fails.
IT IS A DEPENDENCY, NOT A MOD
Nothing here is visible in game by itself. Do not go looking for an effect.
Installation
1. Install SKSE first.
2. Install this with your mod manager like any other mod.
3. Launch through SKSE.
Keep it up to date: mods that use it often require a recent version, and an out-of-date copy produces missing-function errors in the Papyrus log rather than an obvious message.
This release downloads from github.com, not from us, so
there is no checksum to compare against. Scan the archive before you unpack it.
