Builds a Bashed Patch that merges the levelled lists of every mod that touches them, so your mods stop cancelling each other out.
Levelled lists are how Skyrim decides what a bandit is carrying and what is in a chest. Every mod that adds a weapon adds it to those lists, and because plugins do not merge, only the last mod in your load order actually gets its additions in — everything earlier is silently discarded.
The Bashed Patch is the fix. Wrye Bash reads every plugin, combines their changes to the levelled lists into a single generated plugin that sits last in the order, and the result is a game where all of your mods' items appear rather than only the most recently loaded one's.
WHAT ELSE IT DOES
A mods tab that reads your installed plugins with their masters, versions and conflicts. A BAIN installer that understands the structured archives many mods ship. Save game management, including which plugins a save depends on — which is how you find out why an old save will not load. Tweaks that apply small standard changes to game settings without another plugin.
Wrye Bash and Mod Organizer 2 are not alternatives to each other. Most setups use MO2 to install and order, and Wrye Bash purely to build the Bashed Patch.
ABOUT THIS LISTING
This page describes Wrye Bash by The Wrye Bash Team. The description and screenshots are the author's own, imported from their listing on GitHub on 14 August 2026: https://github.com/wrye-bash/wrye-bash
Mythiq hosts no files for it. The download button goes straight to the release file on github.com, so you are downloading from the author's own host, not from a copy of ours.
The download count, rating and comments on this page start at zero and count Mythiq only. The source's own figures are not copied here — they measure a different site, and a number that cannot be checked against our own ledger is not worth printing.
Requirements
RUN IT LAST
The Bashed Patch has to be rebuilt after any change to the load order, and it belongs at the bottom of it. Build it after sorting with LOOT, not before.
RUN IT THROUGH YOUR MOD MANAGER
Same rule as every other tool: launched outside MO2 it cannot see your mods.
Installation
1. Download the standalone build and unpack it into your Mopy folder as the readme describes, or use the installer.
2. Add Wrye Bash.exe to your mod manager's executables list.
3. Launch it, right-click the Bashed Patch entry at the bottom of the mods list and choose Rebuild Patch.
4. Accept the defaults unless you know why you are changing them, and let it build.
5. Make sure the Bashed Patch is enabled and last in your load order.
